Free Memory Screenings for Dementia to Be Offered in Duluth

Emory doctors will provide critical early detection services, prioritizing underserved communities

Duluth, April 1, 2025 — The nonprofit Community Resource Corporation (CRC) is partnering with Emory Healthcare to offer free memory screenings on Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lifecare Partners, Inc. (3430 Duluth Park Ln, Duluth, GA 30096). The event aims to address barriers to dementia diagnosis—including language, cultural stigma, and lack of insurance—that often prevent families from accessing care.

Since launching its dementia respite program last fall, CRC has identified a pressing need for earlier intervention. “Many in our community live with undiagnosed dementia because systemic hurdles block them from resources,” said organizer Dr. Jung Ha Kim of CRC. “This screening event is a first step toward changing that.”
