Duluth, July 6, 2023 — Excitement continues to build on the GAT 25 Awards Gala celebrating the 25 Most Influential Asian Americans Pacific Islanders in Georgia on next Friday evening at Sonesta Gwinnett Place.
“We are expecting a diverse representation of AAPI honorees and communities participating in the Gala this year,” according to Audrey Tone, Project Manager at Georgia Asian Times.
Dignitaries including the Ambassador of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, the Consul Generals of Japan Atlanta, along with leading AAPI business and community leaders are scheduled to participate.
The honorees are celebrated for their accomplishments and achievements in their respective professional career.
The honorees are selected by a panel of selection committee comprised of editors, Asian journalists, and community representatives. Over 200 public online submissions have been received for this year's nominations.
The official list was published in May 2023 in conjunction with the Asian Pacific Pacific Islander Heritage Month celebration.
