Chinese Americans Lions Club of Atlanta hosts annual fundraising banquet to benefit underserved communities

Duluth, June 16, 2024 – The Chinese Americans Lions Club of Atlanta holds its 34th annual fund-raising banquet at the Royal China Restaurant.

The theme for this year's banquet is “Making a Better World Together.” The annual banquet has been a hallmark of fundraising to help outreach programs assisting underserved and uninsured individuals from metro Atlanta's various communities.

“We Lions and LEOs have long served the Pan-Asian, Hispanic, African American, and non-Hispanic communities at health clinics and seminars, not to mention vision screening. We had great success with our vision, stroke, and insomnia seminars this year. The feedback was quite positive,” said Shandry Law, President of Chinese Americans Lions Clubs of Atlanta in her opening remarks.

The evening gala also witnessed remarks from Chris Sullivan, District Governor of Georgia Lions Club District 18-1, and Kembra Smith, PID.

The program also included an induction of 2024-2025 Chinese American Lions Club of Atlanta's Board of Directors and Officers with incoming Auzre Duon as President.

SingWah Performing Groups, Kwon Tung Association, and Atlanta Professional Dance Academy performed cultural performances and entertainment.
