Inaugural GAT AAPI Summit draws engagements & participations

Duluth, May 7, 2023 – The inaugural GAT AAPI Summit draws large attendance and representation from diverse AAPI ethnic communities in metro Atlanta. The Summit hosted in-partnership with the UGA SBDC Gwinnett team delivers 4 panel discussion addressing AAPI issues in the community. The Summit covers: AAPI Business and Entrepreneurship, AAPI Women Empowerment & Leadership, Young AAPI Engagement & Leadership and AAPI Mental Health Awareness.

The Summit also feature Sunny K. Park, Chief Executive Janitor as the keynote speaker. Park shares his journey as an immigrant to America and how he navigate his way to a successful business world. His message of encouragement to the young generations including finding time for community service. “We as Asian Americans, as citizens of this great country must continue the traditions of giving back and serve the country. This is the true American Spirit,” said Park in his comments.

“My goal is for the Summit to continue as an annual platform to discuss in depth and openly important issues confronting the AAPI community in Georgia. The feedback has been encouraging and positive,” said Li Wong, CEO & Publisher of Georgia Asian Times.
