NACA celebrates Spring Festival with donations to GSU and GA Tech

Guest of honor included Stacey Abrams, Democratic Party candidate for Governor of Georgia and Mayor Andre Dickens, Mayor of Atlanta. Both provided greeting remarks at the dinner.

Doraville, May 8, 2022 – The National Association of Chinese Americans (NACA) celebrates the annual Spring Gala with a Chinese banquet dinner at a local restaurant on Buford Highway.

Over 200 community, business, and legislative leaders attended the awards banquet. Guest of honor included Stacey Abrams, Democratic Party candidate for Governor of Georgia and Mayor Andre Dickens, Mayor of Atlanta. Both provided greeting remarks at the dinner.

The keynote speaker for the evening is Senator Michelle Au, who is Chinese American and currently running for Georgia House of Representative District 50.

NACA also announced a $40,000 donation to Perimeter College-Georgia State University and a $10,000 donation to Georgia Tech Foundation.

“We look forward to continuing our support to both universities to train more AAPI students in critical professions,” said Lani Wong, Chairwoman for NACA.

Guests at the dinner were treated to traditional lion dance and a 9-course Chinese banquet dinner.
