Chamblee, January 13, 2023 – New leadership and executive members of the Asian Restaurant Council of America were formally installed at the annual Board meeting at a restaurant on Buford Highway.
Asian Restaurant Council of America was founded in 2016 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Its mission is to promote Asian restaurant sustainability, share resources and networking among members.
Edward Sun, the outgoing President of the Board and owner of Cafe Sunflower, has been navigating the organization through the challenging business environment during Covid-19 pandemic. The Council provided guidances and support to members and the Asian community during the pandemic.
Jospeh Hsiao, CEO and President of H Restaurant Group, was officially elected as the organization's President. H Restaurant Group operates The Flying Biscuits, Pisano's Pizzeria & Italian Kitchen, West Cobb Diner, South Cobb Diner, Hibachi Express and Wings House. Amy Wong, Co-Vice President – Owner, Food terminal and Sweet Hut Bakery & Cafe, Eddie Yan-Co-Vice President, Owner of Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffett, and Shandry Law, Owner of Farmers Basket.
“It is an honor to be serve and lead this organization. I hope to bring new perspective and insights to assist members navigate the challenging economic times that we are facing,” said Joseph Hsiao, newly elected President of Asian Restaurant Council.
One of the main goal of the organization is to grow the membership base and to play a bigger role in community outreach services to assist the underprivileged in the AAPI community.
