Clarkston, Oct 24, 2024 — Rock legend Bruce Springsteen and former President Barack Obama headlined a “Get Out to Vote Rally” at a rally for Kamala Harris's presidential campaign.
The rally was held in a constituent widely regarded as the “most diverse square mile in America.” Refugees and foreign immigrants make up over 40% of the population.
Georgia's U.S. Senators Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, film mogul Tyler Perry, U.S. House Representative Hank Johnson, DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond, film director Spike Lee, and actor Samuel L. Jackson participated in the rally.
This event marks the first time former President Obama and Vice President Harris campaigned together.
The rally also featured a performance by Bruce Springsteen and is the first in a series of “When We Vote We Win” concerts focusing on driving enthusiasm and urging Americans to vote early.
This was Vice President Harris' second rally in Georgia in less than a week and her fourth since becoming the presumptive nominee. Harris held an enthusiastic rally on Saturday in Atlanta with 11,000 supporters.
Her last visit included the rally in Atlanta and visits to New Birth Missionary Baptist Church and Divine Faith Ministries, where she was joined by Stevie Wonder, for a “Souls to the Polls” mobilization effort.
Over two million Georgians have already cast their ballots to date.
