5 Young Korean Americans Receive Inaugural Scholarships

Buckhead, April 6, 2024 – Great American Scholarship Foundation (GASF) officially announces the selection of five college-bound, high school senior students as recipients of an inaugural scholarship.

GASF announces that Hope Choi, Bomin Kim, Sarah Kim, Alisa Lee, Justin Lee will each receive a $10,000 scholarship.

The scholarship selection committee selects 5 deserving students of out 39 students’ applications. The selection criteria were based strictly on excellent academic results along with community service.

“Congratulations to all five winners who are deserving students and active community volunteers,” said Sunny K. Park, Founder and Chairman of the Great American Scholarship Foundation.

“We wanted this scholarship to have its distinctive merit with strong academic performances and the American spirit of community service,” adds Park.

The scholarship is also designed to support their freshman year of studies during the 2024-25 academic year.

The Great American Scholarship Foundation (GASF) was created to facilitate the distribution of financial support to college-bound high school seniors of children of Korean American immigrants. The GASF seeks to encourage and reward students who personally engage in and contribute to the advancement of civic activities within their neighborhoods, local communities, and the United States.
