Atlanta, February 2024 – The Georgia Legislative AAPI Caucus hosted a Lunar New Year of Dragon Celebration at the Georgia State Capitol to recognize a long standing cultural tradition in the AAPI community. The celebration included presentation of State resolutions to several community organizations including Asian American Advancing Justice and Vibha Dream Mile.
Georgia Asian Times was also honored with a State resolution in recognition of GAT’s 20th anniversary of serving the AAPI community in Georgia.
Rep. Michelle Au, AAPI Caucus Chair, along with several AAPI legislators, presented the State resolutions and delivered a Lunar New Year greetings at the capitol steps.
The celebration included a lion dance performance and a Lunar New Year lunch presented by the Georgia AAPI Legislative Caucus.
