Georgia AAPI Hub celebrates Census successful AAPI community partnership

The Georgia AAPI Hub was established in October 2022 to support Asian American and Pacific Islanders ethnic based, community based, and cultural organizations in Georgia.

Norcross, May 22, 2023 – A newly established non-profit organization, Georgia AAPI Hub hosted an inaugural event in conjunction with the Asian American Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islanders AANHPI Heritage Month celebration. The community dinner was hosted in partnership with the Census Bureau and various AANHPI 2020 Census community committees to recognize community partners and volunteers.

The Georgia AAPI Hub was established in October 2022 to support Asian American and Pacific Islanders ethnic based, community based, and cultural organizations in Georgia.

“The Georgia AAPI Hub will leverage local, state, and federal connections to engage and to support local community partners to address community needs,” said Victoria Huynh, Founder and Community Organizer.

The community dinner was followed by an infographic presentation by Anh Nguyen, U.S. Census Bureau, Data Dissemination Specialist.

A series of engagement awards were presented to recognize community volunteers and partners, media, and AAPI ethnic organizations in the 2020 Census outreach.
