Sandy Springs, October 7, 2019 — The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Atlanta (TECO) celebrates the “Double Tenth” 108th national day celebration at a major hotel.
Invited guests included legislators, business leaders, community leaders, and elected officials.
Director General Vincent Liu delivers the keynote remark and emphasized the “strong friendship and partnership between Taiwan and the southern states including Georgia.”
He reiterates the strong ties developed by Taipei and Atlanta through the Sister City relationships in promoting cultural, education, and economic prosperity.
Among the key guests attending the colorful gala are Mark Hammond, Secretary of State of South Carolina, Charlotte Nash, Chairman of Gwinnett Board of Commissioners, Felicia A. Moore, President of Atlanta City Council, Nick Mason, President of Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, Ambassador Kim Young-jun, Consul General of South Korea, and several other dignitaries.
Guests were treated to traditional cultural performances and culinary Chinese cooking.
