Peachtree Corners, Oct 12, 2018 — The Atlanta Asian Film Festival officially kicked off its 14th year with a Premiere Night celebration at Atlanta Tech Park.
This year's festival features films from China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, South Korea, Philippines, United States, and Vietnam.
“We are very pleased to have the support of the community and have consistently deliver a top quality film festival, year after year,” said Li Wong, Executive Director of the Atlanta Asian Film Festival.
Consul General Takashi Shinozuka of Japan and Honorary Consul General Ray Donato of the Philippines were amongst the guests attending the Premiere Night.
Turner Broadcasting is the presenting sponsor of the festival. Georgia Asian Times, National Association of Chinese Americans (NACA) and Georgia State University Dunwoody are also major sponsors supporting the festival.
The organizing committee of the festival presented “Volunteer of the Year” Award to Tony Poon and “Board Member of the Year” Award to Anne Chen for their dedicated services to the organization.
Over 200 guests were treated to a preview of this year's films and a “Taste of Asia” dinner reception.
