Atlanta, February 1, 2018 — A prominent metro Atlanta realtor and businesswoman, Emily Moerdomo Fu faces criminal charges at U.S. Northern District Court for racketeering and misappropriation use of assets in a Federal Court filing. Fu was accused by investigators for operating an “investment fraud scheme” and embezzlement of funds.
The filing against defendant Emily Fu, Capital Investment International, Inc., Jacob Fu, Joshua Fu and Nina Xu of Touchmark National Bank was made by plaintiffs: Intelligent Investment International LLC, Brannon Crossing Partners LLC, Walks at Johns Creek Partners LLC, Windward Market Forest LLC, Palisades West Paces Partners LLC, GII Spalding Plaza LLC, Cooper Village Partners LLC, Peachtree Med Building Partners LLC and Eastside Med Partners LLC.
Emily Fu was formerly a successful real estate agent with Re/max Greater Atlanta for over 25 years. She also received the “Individual of the Year – Governor's International Award” in 2012.
Based on the charges, Emily Fu and her associates conspired to embezzle Chinese investors through improper use of company funds, unauthorized loans, “Ghost” properties, and purchase price discrepancies.
Among the commercial properties that Intelligent Investment International LLC mentioned in the lawsuit are The Shoppes at Brannon, Spalding Plaza, Sugarloaf Center, North Atlanta Primary Care, Eastside Building, Market Forest Shops, Cooper Retail Center, and Peachtree Corners.
