Suwanee, July 8, 2021 – After last year's cancellation due to COV-19 pandemic, the annual GAT 25 Most Influential Asian American in Georgia Awards Gala is anticipating record attendance on July 15, 2021 at Sonesta Gwinnett Place.
The annual awards dinner celebrate the success and accomplishments of the 25 Asian American Pacific Islanders honorees nominated by their peers online.
This year's guest of honors included Congresswoman Carolyn Bourdeaux, Japan's Consul General Kazuyuki Takeuchi, TECO Atlanta's Director General Elliot Wang, Atlanta Regional Commission's Executive Director Douglas Hooker, etc.
Georgia's Supreme Court Judge Carla Wong McMillian is scheduled to deliver the keynote address at the event.
“We look forward to hosting this event after we've been sidelined for a year. The community is eager to resume back to normal business and activities. We anticipate the event to be bigger turnout than previous years,” said Li Wong, Publisher of Georgia Asian Times.
This year's GAT Asian American Spirit Award recipient is NAAAP Atlanta Chopstix For Charity. The award honors exceptional organizations that demonstrate extraordinary dedication to the principles that strengthen America's communities.
