Duluth, July 15, 2023 – Georgia Asian Times celebrated the 25 Most Influential Asian Americans Pacific Islanders honorees at an awards gala at Sonesta Gwinnett Place.
The 25 honorees were selected based on their professional contributions, services, and work in the community. 14 women and 11 mens represented this year's honorees. These honorees were selected from a pool of open online nominations by the general public.

Over 200 members of AAPI community leaders, business, legislators and consulars are in attendance.
Ambassador Sisavath Inphachanh of the Lao Peoples Democratic Republic flew in from Washington DC to attend. Amongst the consular representative in attendance are Mio Maeda, Consul General of Japan-Atlanta. Judge Carla McMillian Wong, Supreme Court of Georgia is also in attendance.
The awards ceremony also presented the Asian American Spirit Award to Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association (CCBA), the oldest Chinese organization in the State of Georgia and one of the southeast's oldest Asian organizations. CCBA is a non-profit, non-political organization whose mission is to provide fellowship for members and to promote awareness of Chinese culture and heritage.
The publishers of the two largest ethnic media also deliver their remarks on the importance of ethnic media collaboration. Janice Ware, Publisher of Atlanta Voice, representing the oldest Black newspaper in metro Atlanta and Rene Alegria, representing the largest Hispanic news organization in Georgia and Southeast.
