Kyuramen currently has ten stores across the US including the latest opening in Suwanee.

Another food franchise marked its foothold in Georgia by opening its first store in Suwanee late December 2022. Kyuramen currently has ten stores across the US including the latest opening in Suwanee.

Most ramen stores in US offers the Kyushu style with milky based broth. Kyuramen aims to change that by introducing three major styles of ramen: South Japan's Kyushu Shio Style, Central Japan's Tokyo Shoyou Style and the Hokkaido Miso Style. Its soup based are offered two ways: thick soup served with wavy noodles or light flavored soup with straight noodles. All of its ramen are infused with choice of white or black garlic that has been chargrilled to provide tasty umami flavors.

When you first walked into the Suwanee store, the atmosphere is unlike any other ramen stores that you experienced. The decor is heavily wooded with Japanese style lanterns and art pieces to attract social media influencers and hip youngsters. They offer honeycomb shaped seating booths arranged octagonally.

I ordered the Kyushu Tonkotsu Shio Ramen which is served with slices of pork chase, bamboo shoot, wake, half runny egg, corn, and scallion with black garlic. The ramen bowl itself is priced at $16.99. The combo package comes with pork bag and a Thai Iced Tea for an additional $6.99. A friend ordered the Tokyo Tonkotsu Shouyu Ramen with white garlic. It comes with bamboo shoot, chashu pork, half runny egg, corn, wake, scallions and nori. The bowl is priced at $15.99.

I enjoyed the flavors and tenderness of the chase meat. The broth is rich and umami flavored accordingly. Half runny egg is perfectly cooked with a soft yoke. Noodles are chewy and comes with a generous portion. However, I am a bit disappointed with the broth that are served relatively “cold” according to my taste. I prefer my ramen soup to be piping hot in temperature.

Dried pepper condiments are abundant for your picking ranging from Sauerkraut pepper, Shichimi pepper, and Cayenne pepper.

The wait staff provide attentive and friendly service. They are quite knowledgeable with the menu selections and offers good recommendation for first time diners.

I can't wait for my return trip to try the Omurice which are highly recommended by the wait staff.

Overall, I highly recommend Kyuramen to folks who enjoy ramens and noodles.
