Duluth, February 20, 2024 – Representative Lucy McBath announced the launch of her 2024 Congressional Art Competition. The competition is open to high school students in Georgia’s Seventh Congressional District. The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, April 24th, 2024.
“I am so proud to launch my sixth annual Congressional Art Competition,” said Rep. McBath. “Each year, I am truly stunned by the talent and creativity of our community’s young people. I look forward to seeing this year’s submissions, and I wish each student good luck as they enter this exciting competition.”
Each spring, a nationwide high school arts competition is hosted by the U.S. House of Representatives. The Congressional Art Competition is an opportunity to recognize and encourage the artistic talent of students across the nation. Winning artwork from Georgia’s Seventh Congressional District (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place) will be eligible for display in the U.S. Capitol or in Rep. McBath’s Washington and Duluth offices.
One submission will be accepted per student, and all artwork must be delivered to the competing students’ art teacher on or prior to the April 24th deadline. A completed release form must accompany each student’s artwork, and all students must also complete a digital entry form on or prior to the April 24th deadline. The required release form, the digital entry form, and more guidelines for the competition can be found at mcbath.house.gov/art-competition.
