Washington DC, October 31, 2023 – Korean American trailblazers and leaders from around the world gathers over a 3-days Envision Gala & National Summit organized by The Council of Korean Americans.
The Summit is also to celebrate the 120th anniversary of Korean immigration to the United States and to celebrate 70-year U.S.- Korea alliance under the theme of “Making History: From Pioneers to Visionaries.”
A local Korean American pioneer was honored for his entrepreneurship and philanthropic work with the Embrace Unity Award.
Sunny Park, Chief Executive of Officer of Great American Scholarship Foundation and former Chief Executive Janitor of General building Maintenance, and CEO of Global Sun Investments, Inc was honored with the “Embrace Unity” award at the Envision Gala on Saturday evening.

“I am deeply honored with this Award especially being recognized by young Korean American leaders around the world,” said Sunny K. Park.
Sunny is also known locally for the annual New American Heroes Award Summit and his tireless work with the Korean American War Veterans. He is also an Executive Residence of Georgia State University where he regularly lectures MBA classes.
The Gala & Summit kicked off with a Congressional Reception at the U.S. Capitol for members to meet with Congressional leaders and government officials.
The Council of Korean Americans (CKA) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization and its mission is to advance the national voice and influence of the Korean American community.
