Chamblee, December 1, 2021 – Local organizations come together for a free Holiday Healing event to include fresh food distribution, toys and stocking stuffers for kids, handmade art gifts from local high school students and a visit with Santa. The event is happening during a time of relief, resilience, and ongoing recovery to fight food insecurity issues while fostering community engagement. The event will take place on Saturday December 18th at 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at the Center for Pan Asian Community Services at 3510 Shallowford Road.

Additionally, through the support from the offices of the DeKalb Board of Commissioners, Dekalb Board of Health, CORE Response, and the International Rescue Committee of Atlanta, the event offers everyone ages 5 and up, FREE Covid-19 vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, all doses including boosters) and a $100 cash debit card for anyone who receives a shot.

We Love Buford Highway, The Center for Pan Asian Community Services (CPACS), Chamblee Charter High School, Cross Keys High School, Oglethorpe University Museum of Art, and many local organizations come together to support the people of Buford Highway, just in time for the holidays.

We Love Buford Highway, is leading a year-long commitment of Feeding Families of Buford Highway under the nonprofit’s Care project initiative. “We are committed to addressing the pressing strains and stress around hunger and access,” says, executive director, Lily Pabian, “we want to kick start a happier and healthier holiday for our communities.”
