Duluth, March 19, 2022 – A rideshare driver was fatally hit and killed at a railroad crossing after his vehicle was struck by incoming Norfork Southern freight train at 5:30 am on March 17, 2022 .
Guangyun Jin died immediately after his SUV was stuck at the railroad track crossing at Peachtree Street in Duluth. The passenger in his vehicle escaped unharmed before the crash, according to the Duluth police.
Guangyun Jin, 39-years old left behind a wife Chunyan Xu, a 2-year old daughter, and both his elderly parents.
Chunyan Xu has started a fund raising page at https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-jins-family-go-through-the-train-accident to help raise funds to cover for funeral and living expenses. The general public are encourage to donate and help the family.
