Dacula, Jan 13, 2022 – Democrat Farooq Mughal of Dacula is launching his campaign for Georgia State House District 105 (Lawrenceville, Dacula, and Buford).
Mughal, who previously chaired the Gwinnett County Community Outreach Board, is a successful business leader and public policy expert. For nearly two decades, he has been a resident of District 105 and East Gwinnett County, where he and his wife are raising their family in Dacula.
Launching his campaign the week of January 10th, Mughal stated: “The State of Georgia is facing several daunting challenges, including coordinating an effective COVID-19 response, expanding access to healthcare, improving public education, and implementing economic policies that will allow for shared prosperity for every Georgia and a robust recovery from the pandemic.
We need new energy, experience, and trusted leadership now more than ever. After many weeks of thought, deliberation, and discussion with family and friends in the Democratic party, I have decided to seek the office of the Georgia State House District 105.
We need a State Representative who understands leadership, who has a proven record of accomplishments, who can bring about bipartisan solutions, who can bring people from both sides to the aisle to get things done. I am running because I believe the future of our State is limitless. I am running to build a Georgia that works for everyone.”
Mughal's campaign is focused on fully funding and supporting education, workforce development, supporting small businesses, protecting and expanding civil and voting rights, and improving healthcare. He is committed to leveraging his award recognized experience in public policy and government affairs to deliver results for the residents of HD-105.
In the coming days, leading up to the 2022 elections, Mughal looks forward to actively engaging with the residents of HD-105 to understand their key priorities for a better Georgia.
