Duluth, Sept 14, 2020 – A new incubator designed to help women and minority entrepreneurs to launch and grow their business is actively recruiting Asian American entrepreneurs to join. The Cranium Incubator, is a brainchild of Joe Beverly, a successful entrepreneur and angel investor in startup ecosystem.
Beverly has recently served as the past President of the Atlanta Tech Angels, one of the oldest and established tech angels investment group in Atlanta.
“Having sit-in over 300 startup pitches and personally made over 15 angel investments over the years, I have witnessed a gap for under-represented entrepreneurs in the tech startup ecosystem,” said Beverly.
“This gap is a void that can be filled with proper guidance, coaching, and funding,” adds Beverly.
“This incubator is setup to assist women and minorities such as Asian Americans entrepreneurs. It is much needed now as there are limited opportunities for these entrepreneurs to grow their dreams.”
A wide variety of topics related to knowledge and behaviors critical to successfully starting and running a business is backbone of the program. The 12-weeks program ranges from motivation, challenges/rewards of being an entrepreneur, strategy, market-customer discovery, competition, unit economics, KPIs, reading financial statements, payroll, raising funds, management, negotiation, contract basics, and importance of taking of yourself due to stress of building a business.
In addition, there will be Q&A sessions, mentoring sessions, and networking meetings.
Due to COV-19 pandemic, Beverly has decided to launch the program virtually until it is safe to gather in meeting space. The cost for the whole program is $500.00 and the program is limited to 15 participants.
Cranium Incubator is offering up to ten scholarship for the first batch of cohorts. The scholarship is evaluated based on the entrepreneur need and potentials. Submission deadline is Sept 30, 2020.
