Duluth, July 12, 2019 — Georgia Asian Times celebrated the honorees of the 25 Most Influential Asian Americans in Georgia with an awards presentation and a dinner banquet at Sonesta Gwinnett Place.
Over 250 guests including community leaders, government officials, business owners, and non profit leaders attended the event. Hon. Kim Young-jun, Consul General of South Korea, Hon. Vincent Liu, Director General of TECO Atlanta, Hon. Ray Donato, Acting Consul General of the Japan, Hon. Naomi Takahashi were also in attendance.
Mr. Sunny K. Park, Chief Janitorial Executive and President of General Building Maintenance, delivered the keynote address for the Awards Gala.
Each of the honorees received a specially hand crafted crystal awards for their contributions. This year’s honorees were selected from over 180 online nominations at Georgia Asian Times website and a selection panel comprised of journalist, community leaders, and GAT editorial staff.
The Center for Pan Asian American Community Services (CPACS) received the 2019 Asian American Spirit Award for their contribution to community social work. Yotin Srivanjarean, Senior Vice President and Victoria Huynh, Vice President, accepts the award on behalf of CPACS.

The online nomination for 2020 GAT 25 nominations is scheduled to be available online in early January 2020.
