Steamed chicken has played prominent signature roles in several Southeast Asian dishes. Notably the famous “Hainanese Chicken Rice” dishes from Malaysia-Singapore, “Khao Man Gai” Thai chicken rice, and “Bai Mon” Cambodian version of chicken rice. There are porridge rendition of steam chicken from Laos “Khao Piak Khao Gai” and “Arroz Caldo” Filipino chicken rice soup.

If you are a fan of steam chicken like me, wait no more as there is a newly opened restaurant in Gwinnett that serves the famous steam chicken dishes.

Com Ga Houston recently opened its door for business and has been a hit amongst the local Vietnamese community. The restaurant chain originates from Texas and opened its first store in metro Atlanta, according to a local Vietnamese source.

Their signature rice dish are served with lettuce, cucumber slices, carrots, ginger, and pickled cabbage. It also comes with a side of chicken broth and dipping sauce of ginger and garlic.

The menu also offers a variety of types of noodles ranging from pho, bamboo shoot noodles, egg noodles, udon noodle and congee. All dishes are offered with either white or dark meat along with choices of banana flowers and cabbage. Noodle dishes comes with generous servings of green onions and fried chitlings.

For those who enjoys salad could savor their chicken cabbage or chicken banana flower salad. They also serve duck in place of chicken.

Pricing are reasonable given the rising inflation and cost of food. Rice and noodle dishes starts from $13.95 to $17.95

Com Ga Houston attracts streams of young Vietnamese families and customers. The wait staff are attentive and courteous. This place gets crowded during lunch hours and it closes by 6:00 pm daily.
