Norcross, March 5, 2022 – Preface made a generous Legacy Gift donation of over 200 brand-new books and thousands of dollars of healthcare materials to celebrate Preface's partnership with Graves Elementary School – the latest gift in Preface's home community of Gwinnett County.

Preface is an award-winning national childhood literacy non-profit dedicated to fostering Equality through Education. Partnering with educators and community leaders, Preface empowers local high schoolers to give back to their community and bridge opportunity gaps by fostering literacy among young students of all backgrounds.

The wide variety of donated books were specially selected alongside educators from Graves Elementary School for readers of all levels, languages, and cultures to enjoy. Complimenting the diversity of the student body, the large Legacy Gift of multilingual and highly representative books were specially picked to tailor this towards Gwinnett County’s diverse population of young students – and also included thousands of dollars in sanitizers and disinfectant gels, to help keep students and teachers healthy and safe in the classroom.

To celebrate the impactful public-private partnership between Preface, Gwinnett County Public Schools, and key stakeholders across the local, state, and federal levels, Congresswoman Carolyn Bourdeaux, as well as Senator Raphael Warnock’s District Director, Martha Revelo, attended the Legacy Gift ceremony in-person to share remarks and express their support for early childhood education. Additional community leaders like Gwinnett County Commissioner Ben Ku, also attended the celebration.
