Peachtree Corners, April 17, 2022 – Advancing Asian America Political Action Committee (PAC) was officially launched at a reception networking event by its founding members. The new PAC's mission is to promote qualified Asian American candidates to reach political office and to better represent the Asian American community.

Advancing Asian American PAC is a local bi-partisan political action committee, according to its three member founders Jimmy Keokongsy, Dao Malaythong, and Amy Chomthakam.

“We want an equitable representation and a strong AAPI voice to be heard at the table where important decisions are made,” said Jimmy Keokongsy.

The new PAC had supported Democrat candidate JT Wu, Georgia State House 97 and Republican candidate Soo Hong, Georgia House 103, in their bids for office.

Advancing Asian American PAC has also launched a program where it will sponsor local AAPI individual application fees to become US citizen.

“We encourage young AAPI to stay engaged in local representation and to stay active in the community,” said Amy Chomthakam.

“We also are seeking young AAPI volunteers and to work with us to serve the AAPI community,” add Dao Malaythong.

General public are encouraged to donate online to the PAC at their website: www.aaapac.org
