Gwinnett officials conducts safety awareness training for AAPI businesses

Lawrenceville, May 22, 2021 – Officials from Gwinnett County's Police Department, Fire & Emergency services, Sheriff's Office and Solicitor General office conducted a half day safety training for Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) business community.

Commissioner Kirkland Carden (Dist. 1) and Commissioner Jasper Watkins (Dist. 3) provided the opening remarks and show of support for AAPI community and businesses.

Sergeant Eric Rooks of Gwinnett County Police provided practical insights and information for Asian Americans to safeguard their homes and businesses.

Fire and Emergency Services and Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office officials shared tips and useful advise to protect their assets.

The event was organized by Gwinnett County Community Outreach Advisory Board.
