Washington DC, Jan 19, 2021 – Congresswoman Carolyn Bourdeaux (GA-07) has been officially assigned to the House Small Business Committee, her second committee assignment in addition to the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.

“Small businesses in my district — many of which are immigrant-, women-, and minority-owned — have weathered the devastating impact of this pandemic for almost an entire year,” said Rep. Bourdeaux. “They need a representative who will be their champion in Congress. I'm pleased to announce my appointment to the House Small Business Committee, which will give me the position to fight on behalf of the thriving business community in Georgia's 7th Congressional District.”

Small business is the backbone of the local economy in Georgia's 7th Congressional District. On her campaign trail, Congresswoman Bourdeaux emphasized her commitment to partnering with the local business community to eliminate unnecessary regulations, train the next generation of skilled workers, and create high-paying jobs across Georgia.
