Norcross, April 15, 2012 — Members of Georgia’s Laotian community celebrated its seventh annual fundraising ball with colorful dances and traditional cuisines. The celebration was held in conjunction with the Laotian New Year by members of The Laotian American Society of Georgia (LAS).
Ms. Noy Lounnarath Bozarth, President of LAS introduces new members of LAS Board for 2012 upon the commencement of the event.
Principal Rattana Inthirathvongsy and Mr. Fabian De Rozario presented keynote speeches for the evening.
Guests were treated to traditional Laotian cuisines along with colorful dances performed by performers from Natasinh dance group.
Spotlight Boutique presented the highlight event of the ball by showcasing an upbeat and colorful fashion show. It was followed by a traditional Lao Regions fashion presentation showcasing different ethnic fashion.
Funds raised at the annual ball will support college scholarships, K-12 awards, Lao 101 language class, Natasinh dance class, senior outreach program, youth summer program and community projects, according to Board members of the group.
