This place is crowded on the weekends. A very popular dim sum joint for Vietnamese and the Chinese community. This place was closed for renovations and it reopened earlier this year. The dining room is much more comfortable and spacious. The owner seems obsessed with glass chandeliers and the restaurant is filled with it. They offer a wide variety of dim sum selections; however, they often have difficulty serving to customers when the place is filled.
Must try: Fried taro, steamed shrimp rolls, and bean-curd rolls.

Widely known as a seafood restaurant, East Pearl is the only restaurant located in North Gwinnett that serves dim sum. The dining room is spacious and has the rustic Alpine log cabin feel. East Pearl serves a wide variety of dim sum including a variety of steam and roast buns -- which are a must try. The service is consistently good and fast. You may also order sides such as roast duck and anything on the menu. This place is busy on the weekends as many Gwinnettian forgo the long commute to Buford Highway corridor for their dim sum.
Must try: Roast buns, charsiu bau (BBQ pork bun), black bean clams, steamed shrimp rolls.

A popular dim sum haunt among the Vietnamese community. Happy Valley has limited choices for you to choose from. If you’re seeking the basic dim sum choices, this place is right for you. Choices are quite limited and they serve more desserts than any other restaurants. Please take note -- some of the cart pushers don’t speak any English.

It is a victim of its own success as it could not serve the customers at times. Dim sum cart delivery is sporadic at times and the service is inconsistent. If you don’t mind the waiting game, they serve tasty fish balls, hargow, siumai, charsiu bau, and the steamed pork ribs that are made to perfections.
