Duluth, July 7, 2017 — Georgia’s Asian American community along with Georgia Asian Times will celebrate the 25 Most Influential Asian Americans in Georgia with an awards gala on July 12, 2017 at Sonesta Gwinnett Place.
Over 200 participants are expected based on confirmed registrations for the event, according to Ben Hioe, Vice President of Media Relations, Georgia Asian Times.
Chairman Charlotte J. Nash, Gwinnett Board of Commissioners, is scheduled to deliver the keynote address for the evening. Consul Generals of India, Japan, and Taiwan are expected to participate in the evening’s gala.
“We appreciate the dedication and hardworking demonstrated by the honorees. This is an opportunity for the honorees to be publicly recognized their unique contributions to the community based on their skills and dedication,” adds Hioe.
Georgia Asian Times has also recognized the Asian/Pacific American Council of Georgia (APAC) with the Asian American Spirit Award for the group’s work to strengthen the community over the years.
Asian/Pacific American Council of Georgia is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit federation organization which comprised of 15 ethnic Asian member groups based in Georgia.
